Kula Yoga and Wellness Counseling Services
We know that starting or returning to a yoga practice can bring up a lot of questions. At Kula Yoga and Wellness, our goal is to offer a supportive, inclusive space for every student—whether you’re brand new or a lifelong yogi. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we hear.
-
We offer a wide range of classes to meet you where you are in your practice, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Heated Power Yoga, Movement + Meditation, and Restorative. We also offer specialty series and workshops throughout the year such as Prenatal Yoga, Hot Sculpt, Parent & Toddler Yoga, Beginner Series, and more.
-
Yes! We strive to make all of our classes accessible to students of all levels. Some classes move more slowly and are easier to follow, so we recommend brand new students start with Hatha or Vinyasa—or join a Beginner Series if one is currently being offered.
-
You’ll be welcomed into a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled, meet your teacher, and let them know it's your first time. Teachers will guide you through the class with clear cues and plenty of options. All you need to do is show up with an open mind—we’ll take care of the rest.
-
Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in—most students wear leggings, joggers, or shorts with a tank or t-shirt. Bring a yoga mat and water. If you don’t have a mat, we have a few available to borrow. We also sell Jade Yoga mats if you're looking to purchase one.
-
You can sign up through our website or download the Momence app to view our schedule, book classes, and manage your account.
-
We ask that you cancel your class reservation at least 2 hours in advance. This helps us accommodate waitlisted students and keeps things running smoothly. If you do not cancel within this window, the class will be automatically deducted from your account. We appreciate your understanding and consideration.
-
Both options are available! You can drop in to any class with a single-class pass, or purchase a class package or monthly membership for more regular practice.
-
Yes. We offer private yoga sessions for individuals, small groups, and special events. These can be tailored to your needs and goals—whether you're new to yoga, working through an injury, or deepening your practice.
-
Yes! We offer parent & toddler yoga, as well as periodic series and workshops designed for children and teens. For our regularly scheduled classes, the minimum age is 12, and any student ages 12–16 must be accompanied in class by a parent or guardian. Hot yoga and Pilates classes are not recommended for students under the age of 16.

Free street parking is available on Columbus Street and Center Street. The public lot where the farmer’s market is held is also always an option!
-
Our building is older and has several steps, which may present challenges for some visitors. If accessibility is a concern, please contact us ahead of time. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
-
Our class descriptions on the website and Momence app include guidance on intensity and pace. If you’re new to yoga or returning after a break, we recommend starting with Hatha, Vinyasa, or a Beginner Series. You’re always welcome to contact us if you need help deciding what’s right for you.
