Anxiety Support Group

Community matters; that’s why we’ve partnered with Mental Health America to host a bi-weekly, peer led support group for those who struggle with anxiety.  In addition to the support of sitting and connecting with people who are walking similar paths, this group offers the added benefit of being close to home and full of people who understand the community context of your situation.

Sound Bath

Allow the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls and other percussion instruments to transport you to a deep meditative state.

Bring a yoga mat. Other props, such as blankets, bolsters and chairs, are available at the studio.

Heated eye masks will be provided.

Those with all levels of yoga and meditation experience are welcome. Yoga teachers are eligible to receive 1 CEU through Yoga Alliance.

Prenatal Yoga Series

This 4-week prenatal yoga series is especially designed and sequenced for the expecting person’s body. Each session will provide time for physical movement through a variety of familiar yoga sequences and poses. The intent is to increase mobility, flexibility, and strength of mind, body, and spirit. There will also be strong elements of mental centering and focused breathing through guided meditation and pranayama.

*The physical practice is only 60 minutes. The remaining time is used for community sharing through conversation and creative preparations for welcoming your baby into the world.

Chakras Decoded : 4 week series

What are chakras? How many chakras are there really? Where did the seven chakras come from?

Many modern yogis are familiar with the 7-chakra based system, but few know its history and original intent. In this course, we will uncover the origin of the chakra systems in the Tantrik Yoga tradition (600-1300 CE) as they were intended to be worked with in their authentic context. You will learn how the chakra systems are "prescriptive" rather than "descriptive," meaning we will learn the specific yogic practice for an energy point in the body rather than learning an inaccurate description of a chakra. Each class will explore energy centers in your body, play with elemental themes, mantras, movement, meditation, and some forms of creative art. You will receive handouts to work with and sample ritual oils. Our last class will end with a chakra-tuning sound bath.
